Reference Group

The researchers of the project want to involve people with learning disabilities in research activities.

That means that people with learning disabilities will work in the research project. 

Researchers with learning disabilities are working together in a group. This group is called "reference group".

They support the non-disabled researchers. They can relate to the situation of other people with learning disabilities because they live in similar situations.

So, research isn't just about people with learning disabilities but also done by themselves.
